Fun idea to try.

Finally I have to reblog snoopyforpresident. I am Charlie Brown in this picture. We inflated big beach balls and then covered them in paper machet. You deflate the beach ball and it leaves the head to paint. Eyes are sharpie, hair is pipecleaners and cloth. We cut out the mouth holes and put black cloth on the inside so you can see out (barely) but nobody can see in. My costume cost about 8 bucks to make and it won us $1000 in the contest!

This is Cavity Sam from the game Operation! I used velcro to connect all of the pieces to the shirt and pants, and I hung a pair of tongs from the collar so people could actually operate on me. I also had a pillow stuffed under my shirt. The hardest part was actually finding the flesh colored sweat pants…

Alright so I’m a big fan of home made Halloween costumes and I finally have a little bit of time to play on Tumblr so I’m going to showcase a few of my best from the last couple of years. I would never consider myself a super creative person, but I need to take a little bit of pride in these.

Let’s start out with Captain Crunch! That hat is actually made out of construction paper and a little toy army helmet from the dollar store. The shoulder pads are tupperware lids covered in yellow cloth and attached with velcro. I just sewed those yellow cloth buttons and wrists onto the shirt.
